In the European catalogue List Photo No. 7210 of May 1932, the lens is listed as “Wide-angle Lens ‘Elmar’ F/3.5, 3.5 cm focus, with mount for automatic coupling.” The catalogue itself bears the title “LEICA MODEL II with automatic focusing.” This wording indicates that rangefinder coupling had already been introduced. The assigned codeword was changed to EKURZKUP.
In the U.S. publication Supplement to Pamphlets Nos. 1204 and 1205 of November 1932, both the codeword EKURZKUP and the code number 35,081 are recorded. The listed retail price was USD 34.50.

The lens is described as “LEITZ Anastigmat ELMAR, 35mm focus, f:3.5, (wide angle lens) in focusing mount (chrome finish).” The assigned codeword is EKURZ, with code number 50,310. The listed retail price was USD 54.00.
However, the German catalogue Liste Photo 4 K d. and the European catalogue List Photo 3 K en. of August 1936 still list both the standard and chromium-plated versions. This suggests that the transition to the chromium finish as the standard specification did not occur simultaneously across all markets.
