まだまだ整理していないライカの資料がたくさんあります。その中から、一冊引っ張り出してみました。これは上海シュミットのプライスリストで1937年11月発行のものです。表紙には「STANDARD PHOTO SUPPLY CO, 445 NANKING ROAD, SHANGHAI 冠龍照相材料行」とのハンコが押してあります。カタログコードは記載されておらず、最終ページの下部には「November, 1937.」と書かれています。

興味を持ったのはレンズの表記です。”Elmar”F/3.5, 5 cm.と表記されています。おそらく、日本（シュミット商店）では「F/3,5, 50 mm」という表記になりそうです。5 cmは50 mmに、F値の小数点はカンマになりそうです。ライツ・ロンドンでは「F/3.5, 5 cm」、ライツ・ヴェッツラーでは「F/3,5, 5 cm」、ライツ・ニューヨークでは「F/3.5, 50 mm」と、このように表記されるのではないかと思います。そういう意味では、上海シュミットはライツ・ロンドンと同系統の表記になっているなぁ、とおぼろげに思いました。（“Summer” はカタログの表記をそのまま転記しています。）
